Completing AAT Level 4 is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree, and is recognized as a non-graduate route in chartered accountancy. All UK chartered and certified accountancy bodies – including CIPFA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS and ACCA – offer generous exemptions to full AAT members.

Following this, you will be able to progress to further study with one of the main UK Chartered Accountancy bodies to become a Chartered Accountant or run your own Accounting practice as an AAT Member in Practice (MIP).

Alternatively, your new credentials will help you climb to the top of the corporate ladder, with opportunities in many areas, including Forensic Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tax, insolvency and more.
